<p>1. Set small goals: Most people are unable to achieve their weight loss goals because they always think big. There is nothing wrong with thinking big, but don&#8217;t make your goals so big as though they become overwhelming and intimidating to you! Don&#8217;t stretch your weight loss goals so far that you feel tempted to quit your weight loss program altogether! Start slow and you will see how easy it is to shed those obstinate pounds!</p>
<p>As you know, committing to permanent weight loss requires a huge change in your lifestyle. Although important, this is not something that comes easily, and if you try to force it all at once you are likely to do more harm then good. For example, just giving up junk food is more then most people can manage &#8211; at least if you try to do it all at once, it is! Oh, you might succeed for a day or two, but you would end up constantly thinking about it until you end up eating more then you would have if you had never even tried to give it up.</p>
<p>An easier alternative, is to just concentrate on replacing (where you can ) the unhealthy junk food, with healthy alternatives. For example, for the first week, just replace white bread with wholegrain bread. Then next week, replace butter with peanut butter, or burgers with carrots. Keep replacing one food at a time, and eventually you&#8217;ll find that you are now eating nothing but healthy meals.</p>
<p>You can&#8217;t do everything all at once, of course, but if you keep at it you&#8217;ll get there &#8211; just do a little bit at a time. Eventually, you will have replaced all of the bad foods you used to eat with good ones, and you won&#8217;t even notice! No stress, no temptation, no difficulty at all &#8211; just an easy path, to a fitter you.</p>
<p>2. You gained weight in the first place, because you were following bad habits. So you need to replace those bad habits with good ones, in order to lose weight. I know how difficult breaking a habit can be, but you need to do it, so the trick is to change your habits slowly &#8211; gradually shifting into a more healthy lifestyle.</p>
<p>I you are anything like most people, you probably have a tendency to snack in the afternoon. Well, instead of trying to break this habit and stop completely, why not try to just change what you snack on? All you need to do is to make sure that any snacks you eat are all healthy &#8211; fruits and vegetables, or something like low fat yogurt.</p>
<p>3. Remove Temptation: It&#8217;s important that you avoid being tempted, because even if you only occasionally give in to temptation, it is still going to hurt your ability to lose weight. The best thing to do, is to find something that will distract you from thoughts of food. Maybe go out dancing or driving, do some sit ups, drink a glass of water&#8230; anything that will focus your mind somewhere else. As long as you keep yourself distracted, you won&#8217;t be tempted. And as long as you aren&#8217;t tempted, you&#8217;ll eat less. It&#8217;s really that simple!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I know that I, for one, would love it if there were some kind of &#8220;magic&#8221; food I could eat, that would help me lose weight. And I&#8217;m not talking about diet pills or chemicals here &#8211; I meal real, honest food. Well, good news: there is! And here I will show you three different foods you can eat, that will help you to lose weight.</p>
<p>1. Bird meat: Birds, like chicken or duck, have very little fat. This means that if you just substitute a chicken burger for a beefburger, without eating any less food, you will find you suddenly start to lose weight &#8211; magically! This is because high fat, low protein foods like beef are easily turned into fat, while high protein, low fat foods like chicken breast are not.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t want to pay for chicken &#8211; try turkey instead! It&#8217;s what all the super models (and bodybuilders) eat &#8211; it&#8217;s how they can stay so thin.</p>
<p>Besides birds, an excellent source of lean meat is fish. Besides the high protein low fat, a lot of the fat in fish is actually &#8216;good fat&#8217;, or omega 3, 6, and 9, which instead of being stored as fat in your body, causes your body to <em>reduce</em> the amount of fat stored!</p>
<p>2. Virgin Olive Oil: Good quality olive oil, although containing just as much fat as any other oil, has a hidden benefit: the high levels of unsaturated fats in olive oil can be effective at reducing your appetite, and help to regulate the storage of fat &#8211; keeping you thinner!</p>
<p>3. Berries: Berries can have a surprisingly good effect on weight loss. Strawberries are the best &#8211; and some might say, the tastiest &#8211; but all kinds of berries will have a positive effect. If you&#8217;re really keen on losing weight, you need to try and include berries in at least a couple of your daily meals. They&#8217;re very good for you, and also act to reduce your appetite, so that you don&#8217;t have to concentrate so hard on losing weight, and resisting the pull of food.</p>
<p>So just because you want to lose weight, doesn&#8217;t mean you have to starve yourself. Plenty of people go that route, eating too little in the crazy hope that they will come out the other side thinner and healthier. Truth is though, it just doesn&#8217;t work. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, the only way to succeed is to eat the right things. Not to mention, the previous foods are full of healthy antioxidants and vitamins!</p>
<p>Keep in mind as well, that these aren&#8217;t the only foods around that can help you lose weight. Here I&#8217;ll talk about how a personal trainer can help you to burn off the fat, and get to an attractive and healthy weight.</p>
<p>Usually when someone wants to lose weight, the first thing they do is find a diet to try. Unfortunately, diets can be difficult to follow, as they require a lot of commitment and self discipline, which is more than most people have. Certainly more then me &#8211; I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever been able to keep to a diet for more than a couple of months, as they always seem to involve giving up eating anything that&#8217;s actually tasty. Instead, I found a different way to lose weight, which works much better.</p>
<p>The best way I have found to lose weight, is to exercise. Get lots of exercise, all kinds, as often as possible, and it doesn&#8217;t matter what you eat. And exercise doesn&#8217;t just mean going to the gym &#8211; there are a lot of other options available, that don&#8217;t involve being stared at by lots of other people in better shape than you are.</p>
<p>I personally think your best option for getting started exercising is to hire a personal trainer. This never even occurs to most people, because they think that fitness coaches and personal trainers must surely be expensive, when actually this isn&#8217;t the case. A lot of professional trainers either advertise locally, though magazines or the internet, or are attached to a local gym, don&#8217;t charge very much at all. They are specially trained in teaching people how to exercise, and will happily come to your house to show you what to do.</p>
<p>Perhaps you&#8217;ve tried this before, maybe spoken to a trainer or even tried a session, and just didn&#8217;t like it. The most probable reason why personal training might not have worked for you, is just that you didn&#8217;t hit it off with your trainer. Well, don&#8217;t despair, sometimes you have to meet a few different people before you find someone you&#8217;re comfortable working with.</p>
<p>My personal trainer has helped me out a lot, encouraging me to keep going when I felt like quitting, and always pushed me to keep going and be better. Together, we worked out a long term exercise plan, including various future goals, and he also gave me some good tips about which foods to eat or avoid. I still enjoy eating the same variety of meals I did before, and thanks to his help with my exercise program, I am proud to say I&#8217;m in the best shape of my life!</p>
<p>Hiring my personal trainer was, without a doubt, the best thing I have ever done &#8211; well worth the money. For anyone, absolutely anyone, who thinks they need to lose some weight, I woudl have no hesitation in recommending him to them. I don&#8217;t need to lose any more weight myself, but I&#8217;m still working hard, and still looking better and better every week.</p>
<p>The trainer has even said that, since I&#8217;ve now lost almost all my fat, I&#8217;m going to start gaining weight now as m=y muscles continue to grow, and I&#8217;ll keep looking better and better with my shirt off! I have even started to enjoy shopping, now that I look good without my clothes, I can start finding clothes that I look good wearing too.</p>
