If you do happen to use any of the current fad diets such as extreme low carbs, low fat, soup, grapefruit diets and such. This is what it is going to do to you. Starve you of macro nutrients such as fat protein and carbs; which is going to make you lose lean muscle not fat. It will as well lower your metabolism. Not good for when you start to eat normal again.</p>

<p>You have probably never heard of this special exercise unless you have been reading the Truth about Six Pack Abs manual. It is pretty much just an exercise that you can perform at anytime and anywhere to help reduce belly fat.</p>
<p>I will start this whole thing off by being honest. This does help you burn belly fat. It will not increase fat burning however. What this technique does is strengthen your deeper transversus abdominus muscles. As a result you will be pulling in your lazy tummy.</p>
<p>It involves doing an exercise called &#8220;ab vacuums&#8221;.</p>
<p>A good time that I have found for getting in the daily habit of this exercise is to perform this exercise while driving to work or any other daily commute that you may have.</p>
<p>Be sure not to let this technique distract you from being a safe driver. It does not impede with my driving personally. I honestly think it is much more dangerous to talk on the phone while driving.</p>
<p>Ab vacuums can be done at any place anytime. You do not actually have to wait until you are driving. I do because it helps me to remember to do them if I am doing them at a specific time, such as on my way to work or to the gym.</p>
<p>The exercise is quite simple actually:</p>
<p>You can perform them at any time and anywhere. </p>
<p>You can perform them while you are sitting (such as while driving a car), standing, or perhaps even kneeling in a four point position. </p>
<p>This movement is as simple as trying to make your belly button touch your spine. So you suck in your stomach as far as you can and hold it there for about ten to twenty seconds at a time before you finally release.</p>
<p>Start by inhaling deeply. Then, as you exhale, start pulling the belly button in towards the spine and hold it there for 10-20 seconds while just taking short breaths. Repeat for several holds.</p>
<p>Get in the habit of doing this at least 4-5 days per week while driving somewhere and you may find that this helps to flatten your stomach more by strengthening the transversus abdominis muscle (the deep abdominal muscles beneath the rectus abdominis) if you previously had a &#8220;lazy belly&#8221;.</p>
<p>As I previously stated, this will not increase fat burning per se. However, it will help you flatten a round tummy that has lazy deep muscles. </p>
<p>Now, if you want real six pack abs, then you still need to burn more belly fat.  This calls for a full exercise routine, a nutrition strategy, and a mindset for success.</p>
